With Hyun-jin Ryu returning to the starting rotation, some have suggested that former All-Star Alec Manoa, who was demoted to Triple-A, should be used as a trade chip.먹튀검증

Manoa, known to Korean fans as “Ryu Hyun-jin,” had his best season in his second year in the big leagues last year, going 16-7 with a 2.24 ERA. This season, however, he is just 3-9 in 19 appearances. His ERA is 5.87.

The Jays Journal, which focuses on Toronto team news, published an article on Monday titled “Blue Jays should prepare trade offers for Alex Manoa”.

The article stated, “Manoa is the strangest player in Toronto this season. And for good reason. He was an All-Star last year and finished third in the final American League Cy Young Award voting, but he’s just 3-9 this season and has been demoted to the minors for the second time.”

“Despite Manoa’s nightmare season, there will be plenty of teams interested in him after the season,” the Jays Journal said. “He was an All-Star last year and was one of the best pitchers in the league. Teams are confident that he can return to form.”

As for Toronto using Manoa as a trade chip, the outlet notes that “Manoa’s trade value will never be low. If Ryu, who is eligible for free agency after the season, were to leave, it would leave a gaping hole in Toronto’s starting rotation. If Ricky Tiedemann, the team’s top prospect, isn’t ready for the big leagues next year, Toronto will need to find another starting option.”

Of course, there’s also an upside to putting Manoa on the trade market, as it could help fill the void of a starter who is set to become a free agent. “Toronto will either find a way to get Manoa back to last year’s form or make another decision,” the outlet said.
