The Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) will hold tryouts for the 2024 KBO Rookie Draft.

The KBO announced today that it will hold a tryout for the 2024 KBO Rookie Draft at Gonjiam Team Up Campus in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, at 9 a.m. on April 28.

Five players will participate in the tryouts, including pitcher Jin Woo-young (22-Global Sunjin Mungyeong Campus), a former Kansas City Royals minor leaguer; infielder Hwang Young-mook (24-Chungang University), who made a name for himself on JTBC’s entertainment program “Strongest Baseball;” outfielder Kim Dong-kyu (23-Dongwon University of Science and Technology); catcher Do Seung-hyun (26-Seoul University of Culture and Arts); and infielder Jang Hyun-jin (19-Seoul High School).

The rookie draft tryouts are for overseas amateur and professional players and high school and college dropouts.

Meanwhile, the 2024 KBO League Rookie Draft will be held on September 14.
