Yang Jin-seo (19) earned her first win in just her third start on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Dream Tour (Division 2).
The second round of the 2023 KLPGA SBS Golf Dream Tour with Aegis Sky CC was held on September 18-19 at the Sky (OUT) Aegis (IN) Course (par 71-6337) at Aegis Sky Country Club in Gungwi-gun, Daegu, Korea, with a total prize fund of 70 million won.
With a final total of 13-under-par 129 (65-64), Yang finished two strokes clear of the three second-place finishers to win the second round of the SBS Golf Dream Tour with Aegis Sky CC and take home KRW 10.5 million.
Yang joined the KLPGA Dream Tour this season with the 12th round of the Monarch CC-Emteli on August 28. She finished 84-83 in her first two matches, but her leap to the top is impressive.
In just her 12th game, she has one win, one runner-up, and one third-place finish, ranking first in prize money, second in strokes gained, second in recovery rate, and third in strokes gained, and her momentum is continuing to build on the 2023 Korean Women’s Professional Golf Jump Tour (3rd Division).토토사이트
“I was preparing for the 2024 KLPGA Regular Tour (Division 1) seeding, and I wanted to go straight to it,” said Yang Jin-seo, “but I’m going to play the rest of the season in the second division as calmly as possible without being greedy.”
If he finishes in the top 20 on the 2023 Dream Tour money list, he will earn a spot on the first division next season. “I have five tournaments left, and I really want to add one more win,” Yang said, adding that the KLPGA Tour Rookie of the Year award is her next goal.
