The KBL Cup has begun. SK and KT get their first wins.

The Seoul SK Knights defeated the Seoul Samsung Thunder 91-87 in the first game of the Group C preliminary round of the 2023 MG Saemaul Money KBL Cup at Wolmyeong Gymnasium in Gunsan on Monday. SK was led by Jamil Warney with 33 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, and Heo Il-young with 23 points and five rebounds, including four 3-pointers.

SK was without Kim Sun-hyung, Choi Buk-kyung, and Asia Quarter Gomez de Riano due to national team commitments. Despite not being at 100 percent, they held off Samsung.
